As a practicing bankruptcy attorney since 1996, I decided a few years ago that I could assist my clients further if I became a real estate broker as well.  I am now able to represent my clients and the clients of other bankruptcy attorneys in the selling of their homes.  Many of those clients are facing foreclosure, so instead of having a damaging foreclosure on their credit reports, I am able to sell their homes via a short sale.  I have been very successful, with the assistance of my real estate partner Gayle Welsh, in getting short sale approvals for my clients.  Often times, my clients are able to receive relocation fees from their mortgage lender; anywhere from $1500 to $10,000!  Additionally, because of my extensive bankruptcy knowledge, I am regularly engaged to represent several U.S. Bankruptcy Trustees when they have a home that must be sold as part of the bankruptcy process.
